Analyze your FeedBurner RSS Feed

  1. Do you want to analyze your FeedBurner RSS Feed?
  2. FeedBurner stats are not enough?

  3. Do you want to know someone else’s RSS feed count?

  4. Do you want to know if someone’s RSS readers count is not fake?

Well now you can! BlogPerfume’s Feed Analysis v1.1 helps you to analyze yours or anyone else’s FeedBurner RSS feed. To analyze your FeedBurner RSS feed you should have Feed Count or Awareness API enabled.

What is the Awareness API you talk about?

The Awareness API allows developers to build applications that can display, analyze and promote your feed’s traffic data outside of FeedBurner.

How to activate Awareness API?
You can sign in to your FeedBurner account and visit the Publicize tab on the details page for the feed whose awareness data you want to access. Click Awareness API on the service menu that appears on the left side of the page. On the Awareness API form that appears, click Activate.

Awareness API

Now once that you have done visit BlogPerfume’s Feed Analysis v1.1. To generate report you have to enter your or anyone else’s Feedburner RSS Feed URI or just the feed name. Now click “Generate Report” and it will generate a nice report with the number of hits, number of subscribers, clicks and views.
It also shows a chart for number of total subscribers on weekdays, number of subscribers per month, worst day of the week, best day of the week.
Feed Analysis v1.1

Feed Analysis v1.1

Feed Analysis v1.1

Feed Analysis v1.1 also has a predictor for subscribers but it’s not accurate at all. The subscribers count prediction is very much wrong because it was showing the following predictions for DiggItLive :
# Predicted Subscribers After 3 Months: 843
# Predicted Subscribers After 6 Months: 25,389
# Predicted Subscribers After 12 Months: 23,022,066

I hope they’ll fix the predictor so that it’ll show better results. :)

Another Use of Feed Analysis v1.1
Another very good use of Feed Analysis is that you can find out the subscribers count for others too. So if someone is lying that he/she has 100’s of subscribers and in real he/she has only 10 subscribers or so, you can hunt ‘em down. ;)

This tool is really cool. But they don’t provide the source code. If yes, i would like to implement 1 for my site too….Thanks.

Great unique tool. I’ve searched the net for an hour for this to find this. Does any other similar tool exist?
