I have been studying Entrecard a bit recently and I have found out how you can gain success at Entrecard without chain dropping. Yup, you heard that right! You can easily get away by doing a few drops, like, 5 - 10 a day. I have applied few tips to gain success at Entrecard without chain dropping.
Engage in the Community
Engaging in the Entrecard community is one of the key to success at Entrecard. Make some posts daily in the forums and have some conversation with the members. Even I noticed a significant amount of increase in card drops on my Entrecard. I made only 4 drops and got 87 drops on my card.

Post on Blogs
Commenting on blogs with Entrecard also helps to somehow. It gets you noticed by the blogger and he/she also drops their card in your widget. Plus you can also build backlinks to your site while commenting if the blog has dofollow in comments.
These are just a few tips to rank better at Entrecard WITHOUT chain dropping.

I also think placing ads on good sites helps. When I get a good ad-space I see a big increase in drops.
But yea your right, I think the word is “Participating”.
Dropping also helps
I think chain dropping has decreased greatly. In fact, some emphasize on visiting sites with EntreCard “above the fold” so as to increase the speed at which the cards can be dropped.
Yeah…many people are doing it.
Nice tip! I just started using Entrecard and kinda sceptical really but from the looks of it, it might work on my blog as well.
And I have to agree with you that participation is the key and it also helps the community.

Yeah, I’m not so fond of chain dropping, but I’d agree that entrecard credit is everything lol
Once you got lots of credits, you can do a contest or “shop” around in the shop
Backlinks are the most effective way to increase you pagerank Google loves them and they mean your website is popular the more backlinks you have
