Today I thought to write a post about how to keep your subscribers stay tuned even when you are writing sponsored posts.

Only post relevant sponsored posts
Just think if you are feeding your subscribers with crap sponsored posts, many people are bound to unsubscribe from your blog and just never return back. Even if you are subscribed to someone’s feed and the person keeps posting sponsored crap posts then you are sometimes bound to unsubscribe. So, only post those sponsored posts which are relevant to your blog’s topics.

Useful Posts
Make sure that you post useful sponsored posts in your blog. Even the big guys like John Chow post only relevant posts, though sometimes they post crap. Anyways, the big guys don’t need to worry because their traffic is already too much.
If your blog is about blogging then you should make sponsored posts about blogging.

Make non-sponsored posts too
Make sure that you keep a 2:1 post ratio. Don’t make too much sponsored posts on your blog. Keeping a good ratio between the sponsored and non-sponsored posts is another way to keep subscribers stay tuned.

Be original
Only write those sponsored posts which are really helpful and you find them good. If you like a tool then you must say that you are going to try it, if you don’t like it too much then you should not say that you are gonna try it.

I have learned all this because i owned a Technology blog before(can’t reveal the name here) and i used to make a lot of sponsored posts. But we learn from our mistakes, don’t we? :)

What are your comments about this? How do you write sponsored posts?

I thought sponsored posts are “banned” by Google?
