Wordpress 2.4 has Different Administration Panel

I have set-up a development installation of Wordpress 2.4. You can get administration login details by scrolling down to the bottom of the post.
The Wordpress team keeps evolving Wordpress and making it better. It keeps facing many changes and this time it’s the Wordpress Administration panel. The Administration panel in Wordpress 2.4 is totally different from previous versions of Wordpress. The Dashboard has got a totally new look.
It has got a totally new look with a bluish look with a little bit orange and a lot of white. There is a lot of white space. The new look has not been implemented completely yet, so it lacks a lot of stuff. 
Once the whole look has been implemented completely, it will look very cool. Some might not like this new look and some might like, atleast i like it. 
It would be great if the Dashboard would allow widgets and dashboard color change.
The comments tab now shows the number of comments under moderation in a stylish way.
There is a right now box which shows you the name of the current theme you are using, amount of widgets being used, allows to change theme, allows to write a new page or post.
There are many new features, some are not completed, some are completed. The Write page or post page has got some new features, but they are disabled. The write new page or post page is not arranged properly. Everything is in one line, there are many things to do!

If you want to test Wordpress 2.4 then you can do it right here in DiggItLive! Login to http://www.diggitlive.com/wp-test/wp-admin with the following details:
username : admin
password : admin
Please do not change anything in the test version. Ofcourse, you can test the features, posting, etc. I will keep updating the nightly build version daily.
It was announced that Wordpress 2.4 will be released for public on 24th January, 2008.

This is very cool indeed, but I don’t see from my initial look, anything that I wanted to see, looks like Vista, just recycle an old version with a new look, sad really. You can read my thoughts on 2.4 here:
